One of the most powerful things we can do is tell the stories of women in athletics.  NWALA is committed to sharing the history of leaders who are and have making an impact in our communities.

Through our website, newsletter, social media and member spotlights, NWALA shares the accomplishments, experiences and perspectives of women across Nebraska.

Our Awards of Excellence recognize women whose leadership, dedication and impact extend beyond wins and losses. Through member spotlights, stories and public recognition, we make women's contributions to athletics more visible.

We don't just celebrate what women have accomplished. We want to inspire the next generation to see what is possible.

Through events, member spotlights, social gatherings, professional connections, informal networking, and partner organizations with similar missions; we are building a community where women don't have to navigate the world of athletics alone.

We promote and connect our members with professional development opportunities, workshops, speakers, clinics and resources that address the real-world challenges facing women in athletics—from leadership and culture-building to work/life balance, athlete wellness and career development.​

Leadership doesn't happen in isolation. NWALA's mentoring program creates meaningful opportunities for women to connect with experienced leaders, share ideas and perspectives, and build a network of support.​
